We will hold four Stata Brown Bag lunches throughout September and October.
Please register for each session separately.
The first workshop, on Monday 9/4, is directly aimed at those completely new to Stata. It will cover how to navigate Stata, how to load data (from a Stata file, an Excel file or a .csv file) and how to do simple statistical operations like sum, tab and correlation. The second, on Monday 9/18, will cover more advanced operations like graphing, regressions analysis & variable generation (including conditional "IF" statements in particular).

The third, on Monday 9/25, will focus on how to use functions in Stata that you are unlikely to learn in class, including strategies for trouble-shooting & how to utilize forums effectively. Register here: http://tamu.libcal.com/event/3524576
The fourth, on Monday 10/2, will cover how to make maps and other visualizations in Stata, and how to output results directly into Word documents (a time saver for including your work in papers). Register here: http://tamu.libcal.com/event/3524574
Each session will include a chance to test/try everything, so please bring a laptop with Stata already installed. If you do not have one, you can check on out from the front desk at PSEL for four hours at a time.
(Also, no food is served. You are welcome to bring your own lunch.)
