Out of the Archival Closet: LGBTQIA+ History and Drag at Texas A&M University and Beyond
Join us for a panel of scholars, archivists, drag artists, and filmmakers discussing LGBTQIA+ History and Drag performance at Texas A&M University and beyond!
- Dr. Jesse O’Rear (he/him), Visiting Assistant Professor, Department of Performance Studies, will discuss scholarly topics relevant to the panel
- Dr. Francesca Marini (she/her), Associate Professor, and Rebecca Hankins (she/her), Wendler Endowed Professor, Cushing Memorial Library and Archives, Texas A&M University Libraries, will present on: “Out of the Archival Closet: LGBTQIA+ Collections at TAMU”
- Cora Cadette (he/him/his/she/her/hers), former Texas A&M University undergraduate student and drag artist, will discuss his/her artistic vision and experience
- Logan Mohr (he/him/his), Executive producer of the documentary film Beyond Us and junior political science major at Texas A&M University, will discuss the film
This panel was organized by Dr. Kris May, Department of English, who will also moderate the discussion.
This is a virtual talk. Registration closes 24 hours before the event. Once you register, a Zoom link will be sent to you 24 hours before the start of the event.
