Adventures in Database Searching: Subject Headings Online
Who's afraid of the BIG BAD database? Texas A&M University Libraries grants students, staff, and faculty access to an abundance of databases to explore for research and lifelong learning, but sometimes keyword searching these databases can be overwhelming. This online workshop will teach attendees how to identify subject headings to help them navigate through databases and optimize their searches. We will cover finding and using individual database thesauruses, Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) and Medical Subject Headings (MeSH).
