Agricola: The what, why and how of access to agricultural information resources in North America

A literature review is an integral part of your dissertation, thesis or scholarly paper. It enables you to know what others have done, helps in avoiding duplication of research and find gaps in your research. Thousands of periodicals are being published every year.  In agriculture and biological sciences alone over 3200 primary periodicals in English language are published. Is it possible to go thru each and every journal to locate the required information? Are these journals accessible to us?  Databases help saving our time in locating the sources in published literature. The Agricola database published by the National Agricultural Library of the US Department of Agriculture is an excellent information tool. This workshop will   help accessing Agricola database and its salient features.
