Finding GIS Data
This hand-on workshop will introduce GIS Data sources available to TAMU students, faculty, and staff for mapping or spatial analytical projects. No prior experience is necessary. Data types covered will include: demographic, city, business, geographic, and remotely sensed data. Participants will learn how to navigate:
- Social Explorer
- SimplyMap
- GIS portals for Bryan, College Station, Houston, Dallas, and Austin
- Texas Natural Resources Information System (TNRIS)
- EarthExplorer
