Introduction to Technical Reports

This is a G.R.A.D. Aggies event worth 1 P.D.U.

This session will provide an introduction to technical reports – what they are, how they are useful to researchers. Recommendations on where and how to search for them will also be covered. Participants are welcome to bring their own report citation examples.  A technical report is a document written by a researcher detailing the results of a project and submitted to the sponsor of that project. Many technical  reports are government-sponsored and are found in a variety of formats. DOE, NASA and the Department of Defense are top sponsors.  A number of U.S. government sponsors now make technical reports available full-text via the internet.
