EndNote Basics Class (Online)

This is an online class, in a webinar format.  You will need speakers or headphones to hear the presentation.  You will be communicating with the instructor via chat, so no microphone is required.

At the day and time of the class, go to: http://msl.adobeconnect.com/endnote-cop/

EndNote is downloadable software that helps you to gather and organize your citations. It then creates the in-text citations and reference list for you within Word. Click here to learn more about getting the software.

By the end of the class, participants will be able to:

  1. Summarize what EndNote is and how it can assist with organizing and creating citations.
  2. Create an EndNote library and add citations manually and through searching databases.
  3. Find full-text or attach PDF’s for citations within EndNote.
  4. Manage an EndNote library by creating groups and clearing journal term lists.
  5. Use EndNote’s CiteWhileYouWrite tab within Word to insert in-text citations, edit them, and change citation styles.

Before the class:

  1. It's better to get the EndNote Desktop installed on your computer.
