RefWorks Basics (online)

This is an online class, in a webinar format.  You will need speakers or headphones to hear the presentation.  You will be communicating with the instructor via chat, so no microphone is required.

RefWorks is online software available through the library that helps you to gather and organize your citations and creates the in-text citations and reference list for you within Word. Click here to learn more about RefWorks. 

By the end of the class, participants will be able to:

1. Summarize what RefWorks is and how it can assist with organizing and creating citations.
2. Set up a RefWorks account through the TAMU Libraries’ website.
3. Add citations to RefWorks from library databases and edit the citation information.
4. Access full-text and attach files for citations within RefWorks.
5. Organize citations within RefWorks into folders.
6. Use RefWorks’ tab within Word to insert in-text citations, create a reference list and change citation styles.

1. This class will be a demonstration of using RefWorks, so you do not need to already have registered for a RefWorks account before attending.
